(02) Blossom Farm Studio
Tennesseans who love hardwood toys — cherry, maple, and walnut — look no further! Silky smooth in finish, the American hardwoods are treated with oil and finished in beeswax for safety which maintains the natural splendor of these woods. It’s no secret by now, we love it when a toy brand combines solid pieces of various hardwoods into a single toy — dark, reddish, and light.
Located in Murfreesboro, TN — Blossom Farm Studio’s heirloom-quality wooden toys cover a gambit of games, puzzles, blocks, stackers, and vehicles — for children and toddlers — plus perfectly shaped and sanded teethers for baby.

All About Kids’ special “Tree Blocks” take a tiered approach to peg doll play — trunk blocks and leaf blocks stacking steadily up to three stories high. Traversing time and space, kiddos can stack up ‘em up any which way, find prehistoric dinosaurs and a galaxy full of planets.
(04) Wood Fun Wood Shop
Classic unpainted toy wood vehicles with its own unique spin. Wooden toy fanatics find joy in the juxtaposition of unfinished wood with unusual vehicles, like toy jeeps and space shuttles.
They’ve taken the pure woodblock, whittled and shaped it into something special, and kept it unfinished (non-painted) for a unique back-to-basics appeal.

A Tennessee Toy Making Time Capsule
- Tobo Toys — From their Kickstarter campaign in 2015 until 2019, Tobo Toys was a Tennessee toy brand rethinking child’s play with cars and trains. Their Tobo Track was made of “liquid wood” (injection-molded wood containing zero plastics, both safe and eco-friendly) roads and tracks that could be puzzle pieced together in limitless ways — compatible with major brands toy tiny-sized trains and cars (like Lego, Brio, and Mattel). Kudos to such an innovative wooden toy company, which played well with others.
- Pure Play Kids — A tried and true Tennessee momma made the difficult decision to shut down Pure Play kids in 2022. After about 10 years, driving toys between Tennessee and the northern state of Wisconsin, the Pure Play Kids founder made eco-friendly baby and family products until her kids grew up and life became too busy.
