(01) Popular Poplar Toys
Having made hand-crafted wooden toys for over 40 years, the trendsetting Smith family has mastered their toy making process in New Martinsville, WV. A wooden train set with 6 circus animals, a car carrier with 4 mounted vehicles, a log truck with 10 humongous logs loaded — as West Virginia’s finest, Popular Poplar Toys shows what deep dedication to the craft can achieve.
Masterfully crafted with outstanding skill in their home-based shop — Popular Poplar’s special toy patterns are precious like a secret family recipe. Don’t believe me? Popular Popular designed, built, and sold the musical marble tree before the Montessori Mom trend got hold of the pattern.

(02) Saving Shepherd
A collective of Amish artisans handcrafting wooden toys and other simplistic essentials. Following selective beliefs, their toys avoid flashy lights or electronic parts — nothing fancy.
Nestled between Ohio and Pennsylvania — two states known for their Amish populations — far fewer Amish live in West Virginia, and so Saving Shepherd stands strong in commitment to Ordnung for those who dare traverse the Mountain State’s treacherous terrain.
