(01) Melissa & Doug
Headquartered in Wilton, CT, Melissa & Doug is one of America’s most well-known and top-selling wooden toy brands.
Melissa & Doug makes just about every kind of wooden toy you could think of — and sells their toys online and offline at major retailers. If you’ve never heard about Melissa & Doug before — you’ll likely start noticing this far-reaching Connecticut wooden toy brand now!
Although Melissa & Doug toys are not made in America — they mainly manufacture in China and India — we couldn’t curate a Connecticut wooden toys list without mention of Melissa & Doug.

(02) Luke’s Toy Factory
Made with an environmentally-friendly fusion of wood and synthetic elements — 30% sawdust and 70% recycled plastic — Luke’s Toy Factory is the most innovative toy truck company I’ve ever seen — straight out of Danbury, CT. Each truck is an educational 3-D puzzle on its own that your kid can assemble, roll around, and mix-and-match parts between trucks.

(03) Bob Hudson Woodcrafts
Sometimes a woodshop can succeed with sheer simplicity! The perfect holiday stop-and-shop for holiday wooden cut-out shapes — made for painting with a special occasion in mind. With a wide-range of unfinished wooden blocks for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and birthday parties — there’s a wide selection for every holiday and other interests.

(04) Dreamup Toys
For the child who loves both wooden toy train tracks and Duplos, Dreamup Toys gets you the best of both worlds. (To my knowledge) It’s the only brand that makes Duplo blocks and toy train tracks compatible with each other — so your little conductor can build expansive and elaborate living room train routes. Grab your wooden railway block platform, and hop aboard the imagination train!

(05) Toy Box By Vinny
I like Vinny’s style. Lots of woodworkers spend years mastering a single type of toy. Vinny, on the other hand, gets hands-on building all different kinds of toys. The result? Completely unique, one-of-a-kind wooden toys you just won’t find anywhere else! Keep doin’ your thang, Vinny — classic toys with unique features that prove it’s from Vinny’s toy box!
(06) MCG Wooden Puzzles & Art
Custom-made wooden jigsaw puzzles — for adults — from a master puzzle maker. Having handcrafted over 11,000 wooden jigsaw puzzles since 1995 — Mark, his scroll saw, and his eye for detail are all you need to make a personalized wooden jigsaw puzzle that’ll last for generations.
I usually list kid’s toys, but these puzzles for adults are just too good to omit. The puzzlemaster has expanded his presence to three different websites (One, Two, Three) in addition to their Etsy shop — for custom jigsaw puzzles each sharing his signature style.
