A Utah Toy Making Time Capsule
- La-Di-Dolls — From 1986 until 2023, La-Di-Dolls was a creative maker of dress up dolls — two-dimensional, from wood, paper, and felt materials. Sized 7-inch or 14-inches — each doll was deciphered by the color of their hair color — and were essentially identical other than hairstyle! Since the doll’s bodies were flat (wood or paper), you could color and cut out your very own outfits (paper or felt) for them — like a fashion designer — sprucing them up in two-dimensional clothes sketched, colored, and cut-to-fit.
- Timber Rocks — Until the year 2023, Timber Rocks was a college side-project turned into a tumi ishi blocks business. With their simple and quirky geometric blocks — near-identical to the Perched and Rock Blocks brands, which are still in business — Timber Rocks were made using unpainted and unfinished raw poplar wood.
